Woolgarston Cottage is a delightful period house standing in a superb rural location. The original building is thought to be at least 300 years old and is Grade II Listed and has been tastefully renovated in recent years with the cartshed on the Southern side being converted into a substantial holiday cottage known as ‘Pipit’s Meadow’ during the 1980s. The landscaped grounds together with adjoining paddock and woodland provide a beautiful secluded setting.

The historic village of Corfe Castle is 1.5 miles away and is renowned for its Castle ruins which dominate The Square. The village also offers an excellent range of local amenities. More extensive facilities are available at the seaside town of Swanage, which is 4 miles away, and at Wareham, which is 6 miles away, the latter offering main line rail link to London Waterloo (approximately 2.5 hours). The regional centres of Poole and Bournemouth are within easy travelling distance and there is a toll ferry at Studland. There are bathing beaches nearby at Swanage, Studland and Shell Bay and golf courses at the Isle of Purbeck and Wareham.

DIRECTIONS From Wareham take the A351 Swanage road and after approximately 5 miles the village of Corfe Castle will be reached. On entering the 30 mile an hour speed limit of Corfe Castle village take the second turning on the left into Sandy Hill Lane which is a small country lane leading under a railway bridge. Follow this road for approximately one mile and Woolgarston Cottage is situated on the left hand side.

The main house has three good sized reception rooms including sitting room, dining room and an attractive galleried drawing room with a vaulted beamed ceiling and wood burning style stove.  The farmhouse style kitchen has an oil fired Aga set in recess with original bread oven.  On the first floor there are two bedrooms and family bathroom.  The spacious master bedroom is situated on the second floor and has a sloping beamed ceiling and views over the surrounding open country.
